(NECN) - Police called off the search for a missing baby in Miami, calling the story a hoax. Meagan McCormic and John Buchness told police their nanny, who they allegedly met when they lived in the Boston area, disappeared with six-month-old Riley Archer Buchness. Miami Police now say there was no nanny -- and there was no child. They said McCormic found a picture of the boy on the internet and made up the story to cover up a miscarriage and did not want her boyfriend to know. She has been charged with filing a false police report. Police said the boyfriend was in town to meet his son for the first time, when the alleged hoax developed. He has not been charged.
