The liberal reporter finds it impossible to understand the African mindset. Considering the fact that Africa must be the most fertile, most unbelievable continent in the world, with natural resources without comparison elsewhere, is it not blatantly obvious that blacks can't govern a country - for the whole of Africa is engulfed in famine, war, turmoil, massacres etc. The only exceptions were SA, Rhodesia and other white governed African states until take-over. Actually it is the very nature of Africa’s fertile land and bountiful natural resources that has prevented Africans from evolving the ability to plan far ahead. That is why no black-run country in the world has been successful, and without help, is unlikely to be so for generations to come. It is a common mistake to assume from these statements that Africans are necessarily inferior to other races. Many of them are more intelligent and ambitious than your average non-African. On a personal level they are good, hardworking and peace loving people. However, once the ambitious ones attain power, and responsibility to rule a country, they manipulate their sheep-like followers to keep them elected to power, while enriching themselves, unconcerned about the long term consequences for the country and their people.
