Air America
Tribute to our Military. April 5th, 2009. After shooting 2 hours of video, and 2 hours of editing it came down to a 2 minute and 23 second film. 2 clips of stock footage used. I had a fun making this
one. I talked with alot of the local Military people here, they are the cream of the crop. Just a great group of young men and women doing what they love. G-d bless these people, they
risk it all so a
bum like me with a loud mouth can speak my mind. Enjoy !

Obama delayed rescue
While Barack Obama is basking in praise for his \"decisive\" handling of the Somali pirate attack on a merchant/nship in the India Ocean, reliable military sources close to the scene are
painting a much different picture of the incident – accusing the president of employing restrictive rules of engagement that actually hampered the rescue of Capt. Richard Phillips and extended the
drama at sea for days. /nMultiple opportunities to free the captain of the Maersk Alabama from three young pirates were missed, these sources say – all because a Navy SEAL team was not immediately
ordered to the scene and then forced to operate under strict, non-lethal rules of engagement. /nThey say the response duty office at the Pentagon was initially unwilling to grant an order to use
lethal force to rescue Phillips. They also report the White House refused to authorize deployment of a Navy SEAL team to the location for 36 hours, despite the recommendation of the on-scene
commander. /nThe White House also turned down two rescue plans offered up by the Seal commander on the scene and the captain of the USS Bainbridge. /nThe SEAL team operated under rules of engagement
that required them to do nothing unless the hostage\'s life was in \"imminent\' danger. /nIn fact, when the USS Bainbridge dispatched a rigid-hull inflatable boat to bring supplies to
the Maersk Alabama, it came under fire that could not be returned even though the SEAL team had the pirates in their sights. /nMany hours before the fatal shots were fired, taking out the three young
pirates, Phillips jumped into the Indian Ocean with the idea of giving the snipers a clear target. However, the SEAL team was still under orders not to shoot. /nHours later, frustrated by the missed
opportunities to resolve the standoff, the commander of the Bainbridge and the captain of the Navy SEAL team determined they had operational authority to evaluate the
risk to the hostage, and took out
the pirates at the first opportunity – finally freeing Phillips. /nhttp://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=95451

Security Threats to Israel from Syria
Maj.-Gen. (res.) Giora Eiland presents his new report produced for the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs at a press conference on April 22, 2009. In this clip, Eiland discusses five assumptions that
are made when declaring that Israel could possibly be secure if it cedes the Golan Heights to Syria. Eiland argues that these assumptions are incorrect and place Israel's safety and security at
risk.

EC Tries to Be Supportive of Obama
EC likes the idea of shareholders having control over executive pay.
He really does. In fact, EC has said for a long time that one
LEGITIMATE function of government would be to shed some sunlight on
how executive pay is determined in public corporations - and to give
more power to the people taking the
risk- the shareholders. Well...
Obama says he\'s doing that. Is he really doing that or just using
that as a smokescreen to accumulate even MORE power over the US
economy?

Obama's Fort Hood Shooting Remarks - The soldier's deaths are first in his heart and mind
Obama's Fort Hood shooting remarks prove to us that our soldiers are first in his heart and mind. He seldom has an hour go by that he doesn't think about their sacrifices for our country.
Our Commander-in-Chief is always ready to go the extra mile in showing our military that they are his number one concern; he is like one of them.
I would like to thank President Obama for his heart felt remarks that he made this afternoon regarding the tragedy that took place at Fort Hood today. It is nice to finally have a President who
really cares for our military men and women, and not one who only uses them for political reasons. Obama is the greatest Commander-in-Chief since George Washington. God bless you President Obama, for
without you, we would have no hope or change. You are my hero.

President Obama: Fort Hood shooting 'horrific'
President Barack Obama promised "answers to every single question" about Thursday's shooting at Fort Hood after an attack by at least one U.S. service member that left 12 soldiers dead
and 31 wounded.
Speaking at the Interior Department, Obama said he had already conferred with Defense Secretary Robert Gates about the attack and would continue to receive updates.
"We don't yet know all the details," Obama said. "What we do know is that a number of American soldiers have been killed and even more have been wounded in a horrific outburst of
violence."
"These are men and women who have made the selfless and courageous decision to
risk and at times give their lives to the rest of us on a daily basis," the president continued. "It is
horrifying that they should come under fire at an Army base on American soil."
Obama's remarks came at the conclusion of the Tribal Nations Conference hosted by the Interior Department and the White House. He told his listeners leaders from many of the 564 federally
recognized American Indian tribes that he had discarded his prepared comments in light of the breaking news.
"I planned to make some broader remarks," he said after brief introductory comments. "But as some of you might have heard there has been a tragic shooting at the Fort Hood Army base in
Texas."
Prior to the president's remarks, Lt. Gen. Bob Cone confirmed to reporters in Texas that the shooting had been carried out by military personnel.
According to reports, the shooter was Major Malik Nadal Hasan, an Army psychiatrist who had previously worked at the Walter Reed Hospital, and was unhappy that he had been deployed to Iraq.
It remains unclear if other military members were involved in the attack or if Hasan had acted alone.
The White House issued a statement from Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill "expressing our sympathies to the families of the brave soldiers who fell today. We are all praying for those
who were wounded and hoping for their full and speedy recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the entire Fort Hood community as they deal with this senseless tragedy.
Both chambers Congress held moments of silence to mark the shooting. Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison requested that the Senate briefly halt its business "in memory of 11 great soldiers at Fort
Hood, Texas, who have been shot down this afternoon at the base."
"I know all of us love our military and appreciate everything they do," Hutchison said. "For them to have to suffer even more tragedy like this, as they are on their way to protect us,
is unthinkable."
Rep. John Carter, the congressman who represents Fort Hood, asked for a moment of silence in the House.
"It is a real tragedy that these families are losing loved ones," he said.
Earlier, Hutchison told Fox News she had learned the dead shooter was scheduled for deployment to Iraq, and "I think that there was some measure of being upset about that."

Rep. Hoekstra: Holding 9/11 Trials in NYC
On "Face The Nation," Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-MI) tells Bob Schieffer that the Obama administration to try 9/11 terrorists in New York City not only "a bad idea" but "a platform
to push their ideology."
"This is ideology run wild," Hoekstra says. "We're now going to rip that wound wide open, and it's going to stay open for [up to] four years" in what he predicts would
be "a circus of a trial."
Hoekstra also ponders what problems President Obama would be solving by not only moving the 9/11 trials to New York City, but moving Guantanamo prisoners to states like Michigan.
